Polypropylene plastic (PP). The plastic’s excellent impact, chemical and temperature resistance means that the floor gullies have a very long lifetime. When polypropylene burns, only carbon dioxide and water are formed. Most Purus floor gullies are made of polypropylene.
Polyethylene (PEH). This plastic is not used as often for floor gullies due to its high mould-shrinkage and linear heat expansion coefficient. The material is also difficult to glue.
ABS plastic. This plastic contains rubber particles that produce high impact resistance, surface hardness and first-rate surface finish. The material has extremely good low temperature properties. A number of plastic floor gullies are available.
